Metrical Productivity

William Baer writes in Writing Metrical Poetry:

"In order to participate in this great tradition, it's crucial to understand the metrics of our extraordinary language. Even the modern experimenters understood their metrics. Ezra Pound...wrote over a hundred sonnets, and T.S. Eliot was continually obsessed with rhythms, often tapping a little drum to discover new melodic beats."
